Telepresser Thursday: Groups to Show Broad Support for Senate Democracy Reform Bill Designed to Empower Americans at the Ballot Box

Voters Demand Reforms Contained in the For the People Act

WHAT: Telepress conference at which a coalition of democracy, environmental, good government, civil rights and other groups will detail broad local, state and national support for the U.S. Senate introduction of the For the People Act. The bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives in February.

In light of systematic disenfranchisement, too much corporate and special interest money in politics and ethics abuses in government, Americans nationwide have demanded the proposed reforms in the For the People Act.

The Senate push for passage of the For the People Act and democracy reform is critical to America’s future. Join organizations across many issue areas to learn about our campaign and our plans moving forward to win these changes for our democracy.
