WHAT: Public Citizen’s Amit Narang will testify at a Thursday afternoon joint hearing held by the U.S. House Subcommittee on Intergovernmental Affairs and the House Subcommittee on Healthcare, Benefits, and Administrative Rules, which is expected to focus on the Trump administration’s deregulatory agenda. Narang will argue that President Donald Trump’s “one-in, two-out” executive order harms the public and will show that the costs to consumers and the economy from repealing public protections far outweigh the meager benefits to regulated industries.
