Everett Internships Available for Summer 2008!
Four internships funded by The Everett Public Service Internship Program are available at Public Citizen for the summer of 2008. Public Citizen is a nonpartisan advocacy organization that utilizes research, media outreach, grassroots organizing, public education, litigation, and lobbying to achieve success in long-term campaigns for public health and safety and government and corporate accountability.
Interns are needed to help with research, writing and organizing for advocacy programs in the Energy (sustainable, environmentally friendly energy), Litigation, Global Trade Watch, and Congress Watch groups.
Everett interns will earn a stipend of $280 weekly. In addition to working at Public Citizen, these interns will be attending weekly events, both educational and social, that feature distinguished leaders from the public sector.
The internships will last 10 weeks beginning May 26-June 16. Please send a resume, cover letter indicating which program you prefer, and brief writing sample, by March 31 to: firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to Marilyn Berger, Public Citizen, 1600 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009.
