DC Voting Rights March

Public Citizen is proud to sponsor of the upcoming VotingRightsMarch.org – a march on Washington for DC Voting Rights.

More than half a million people live in the capital of the United States without voting representation.  Citizens of the District of Columbia pay U.S. taxes, fight and die for the U.S. during wartime, and are governed by the laws that Congress passes.  And yet, shockingly, DC citizens have only a non-voting delegate in the House of Representatives.

Thousands will march on Washington on this Monday, April 16, to demand the long-denied right to vote for Washingtonians.  If you are in the Washington, DC area, please join us!  Spread the word to your friends and family in the area, or contact me to find out how you can help the cause.
