
Zachary Shelley
Supreme Court Assistance Project Fellow
Zachary R. Shelley (he/him) is the Alan Morrison Supreme Court Assistance Project Fellow at Public Citizen Litigation Group, where he assists small-firm practitioners and lawyers for non-profit organizations with all aspects of Supreme Court litigation. He previously interned for Public Citizen Litigation Group in 2022.
Before joining Public Citizen, Zach served as a clerk for the Honorable James A. Wynn of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Zach graduated from Yale Law School in 2023. In law school, Zach represented homeowners in foreclosure proceedings and consumer lawsuits as a member of the Yale Law School Housing Clinic and assisted clients in employment discrimination and disability benefits cases through the Yale Law School Oncology Medical-Legal Partnership. He also received the William T. Ketcham, Jr. Prize for the best paper in the field of conflict of laws. Zach earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Johns Hopkins University.
Zach is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
