As a Program Associate with Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch, Sarah Stevens supports a wide array of campaigning efforts, organizing initiatives, and advocacy projects to address issues of corporate power and economic injustice. Sarah is currently finishing up her M.A. in International Development at American University with a concentration on civil society, human rights, and accountability. She primarily focuses on how finance and corporate power contribute to violations of human rights from a local-global perspective. Sarah brings experience working with lower-middle income communities on equitable access to clean energy, and she previously interned with both Oxfam America and the Coalition for Human Rights in Development before finding her way to Public Citizen.
