Ad transcript: Mike Bouchard’s attacks against Debbie Stabenow? False. Stabenow voted to toughen our borders. Social security for illegal immigrants? Never. That’s why she’s endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security. And Stabenow voted no on the Bush guest worker bill that threatened our jobs. Mike Bouchard? He supports the Bush economic plan that cost Michigan jobs. Unfair trade, outsourcing jobs, privatizing social security – Michigan can’t afford Mike Bouchard.
Ad transcript: They work hard, they love their country, they play by the rules. But the cars, steel and appliances they used to make are now being made overseas, where workers are paid 3 or 4 dollars a day. My opponent supported the trade agreements that cost us these jobs; he says, it’s just business. I say, it’s wrong. I’m Sherrod Brown, I approve this message, and in the Senate, I’ll judge U.S. trade agreements by this standard: are they fair to America? Do they put Americans first?
Ad transcript: They said that NAFTA would be good for America, but nearly 50,000 Ohio jobs have gone to Mexico. CAFTA, the trade agreement with Central America, will cost us even more. Our trade policy with China has cost our country over a million jobs, huge trade deficits, and it’s risking the transfer of sensitive military technology. I voted against all of these deals; my opponent voted for them. I’m Sherrod Brown; I approve this message; it’s time to put Americans first.

Ad transcript: Communities crumbling, families struggling: too many local jobs are being sent to foreign countries. What’s Congress doing? John Hostettler voted to reward companies that outsource, supporting $25 billion in tax breaks for corporations, including those that ship jobs overseas. He even voted to expand NAFTA, which cost Indiana 30,000 jobs. If he’s not looking out for our jobs, then Hostettler just isn’t doing his.

I’m John Yarmuth, and it’s time we put government back on the side of working people. Ad transcript: I’ve never understood the term “special interest.” They shouldn’t be special, and I don’t find them interesting. Trouble is, we have real problems in this country, and Congress isn’t listening to anybody else. If I’m given the chance to go back, I’ll have a lot of work to do. We need to balance the budget, like we did before; stop rewarding companies for shipping jobs overseas; raise the minimum wage; and support alternative energy so we don’t have to rely on foreign oil. Tom Reynolds said yes to CAFTA, yes to China and goodbye to 40,000 western New York jobs. They get our jobs, and Reynolds gets more money from the outsourcing companies. Reynolds says he’s creating jobs – in Beijing? Jack Davis says, stop giving our jobs away.
Ad transcript: Charles Taylor’s negative ads are being called “reprehensible” and “absurd.” Taylor’s desperate to hide the fact that he keeps selling out our families. Taylor voted to cut student loans for American families, but used our tax dollars to create scholarships for Russian students. Taylor skipped a critical vote to save thousands of American jobs, but got an award for creating jobs in Russia. Mr. Taylor, American families should come first.
Ad transcript: Congress doesn’t seem to know right from wrong, but we do. It’s not right when big insurance companies write health care laws and millions can’t afford to see a doctor. It’s not right when big oil companies write energy laws and gas prices skyrocket. It’s not right when Congress passes trade bills that send our jobs overseas. Congress won’t change until we change the people we’re sending to Washington.
