Air Quality in TexasWithout clean and healthy air, we cannot have healthy citizens. As respiratory illness increases and environmental enforcement decrease, Public Citizen will fight to clear our air! 15 new coal-fired power units are being planned for Texas that could have a drastic impact on our air quality. Public Citizen's Texas office is opposed to new coal burning plants in Texas and is working to educate consumers on the danger we face if these plants are permitted.
Because Public Citizen does not accept funds from corporations, professional associations or government agencies, we can remain independent and follow the truth wherever it may lead. But that means we depend on the generosity of concerned citizens like you for the resources to fight on behalf of the public interest. If you would like to help us in our fight, click here. |
