Public Citizen v. Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board

In 2008, Public Citizen, on behalf of itself and two Louisiana lawyers and their law firms, challenged Louisiana’s amended attorney advertising rules on the grounds that the rules violated the First Amendment and due process. The trial court largely ruled against us, but the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed in part and reversed in part, adopting many of our arguments and striking down some of the rules.
