Public Citizen is representing plaintiff Matthew Elvey in a class
action against TD Ameritrade over a massive security breach that
exposed private customer data, including social security numbers, to
hackers. Elvey is objecting to the terms of a proposed class
settlement, which would release claims against the company without
requiring it to properly notify its clients of the problem or adopt
suitable remedies. |

Because Public Citizen does not accept funds from corporations, professional associations or government agencies,
we can remain independent and follow the truth wherever it may lead. But that means we
depend on the generosity of concerned citizens like you for the resources to fight on
behalf of the public interest. If you would like to help us in our fight,
