Public Citizen Litigation Group works with lawyers around the country on a limited number of consumer rights cases. We are usually not able to take on cases referred by individual consumers. If you are looking for a lawyer, you can find one from the National Association of Consumer Advocates. You may also wish to consult the website of National Consumer Law Center in Boston, which has compiled a list of useful resources for individual consumers.
If you think we may be interested in your case, you can mail us a written letter and our lawyers will read it, consider its specifics in relation to our resources and goals, and then respond in writing. We don't want to discourage anyone in their pursuit of justice. At the same time, our resources are limited and we don't want to give rise to any hopes that we can't fulfill. We have taken cases through this mail-in process, some even to the Supreme Court. However, this is the exception rather than the rule. Send letters to: Office Manager, Public Citizen Litigation Group, 1600 20th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009.
Because Public Citizen does not accept funds from corporations, professional associations or government agencies,
we can remain independent and follow the truth wherever it may lead. But that means we
depend on the generosity of concerned citizens like you for the resources to fight on
behalf of the public interest. If you would like to help us in our fight,
