Dec. 7 - Dudley Nomination Fails to Advance in SenateRadical Extremist Should Not Receive Recess Appointment or Be Nominated Again The nomination of industry-backed extremist Susan Dudley to become the new White House regulatory czar has died in committee, the committee chairwoman confirmed. Susan Collins (R-ME), chair of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, confirmed speculation that the committee would not be proceeding to a vote on the controversial nomination. It is welcome news, according to Public Citizen: good news for the environment, for consumers, for everyone who cares about the public interest. Take action: tell White House not to renominate or give recess appointment
