Check the terms of service that companies send you and look for language that requires forced arbitration and bans class actions.
If you find these damaging terms buried in the fine print, send an email to action@citizen.org with a link if it’s posted online, or a scanned image of the terms of service if it is not.
There is legislation before Congress that would solve the problem. It’s called the Arbitration Fairness Act. Tell your members of Congress to support it.

Expose Corporations That Are Rigging the Justice System Against Consumers
If your bank, cell phone provider, employer or other company that you conduct business with violated your rights or cheated you, would you want to retain your ability to take them to court? Many companies are now using fine print to stop you and other consumers from doing so.
Below is just a sampling of some of the largest corporations that have taken away their customers’ legal rights, immunizing themselves from accountability for wrongdoing.
These corporations put “forced arbitration” clauses in their terms of service to block consumers from holding them accountable in court. If consumers (or employees) are hurt or ripped off by these companies, they must take their claims to private, secretive tribunals that favor the companies.
You can help us add more by blowing the whistle on the companies that are taking away your rights with this predatory practice.
