Presidential Campaign Public Financing
Public Citizen and other campaign finance reform groups launched the Presidential Public Financing Reform Project in November 2004 to get special interest money out of presidential elections. Seven candidates immediately announced their support for the Presidential Candidate's Pledge, which commits each of them to making this issue a priority for his or her administration. We plan to continue this work into the 2008 presidential election.

Because Public Citizen does not accept funds from corporations, professional associations or government agencies,
we can remain independent and follow the truth wherever it may lead. But that means we
depend on the generosity of concerned citizens like you for the resources to fight on
behalf of the public interest. If you would like to help us in our fight,
