Data Quality Act

The misnamed Data "Quality" Act was a piece of midnight legislation, snuck through as a rider on a FY2001 appropriations bill.  The law gave OMB power to develop guidelines for agencies to follow when developing procedures for public challenges to agency information.

Because Public Citizen does not accept funds from corporations, professional associations or government agencies, we can remain independent and follow the truth wherever it may lead.
