Jehan Patterson
Jehan Patterson is an attorney at Public Citizen Litigation Group, where she has worked since 2012. She litigates issues concerning open government, access to justice, and consumers’ rights.
Ms. Patterson graduated cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she served on the board of the Journal of International Law and Politics and participated in a clinic representing indigent defendants charged with petty offenses and misdemeanors in federal court. Following law school, Ms. Patterson worked in private practice and clerked for the Honorable Anne E. Thompson of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to joining Public Citizen, she was a staff attorney at Legal Services of New York City where she defended homeowners in foreclosure proceedings and prosecuted affirmative consumer rights cases against mortgage lenders and servicers in state and federal court. She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Brown University.
Ms. Patterson is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey. Her admission to the bar of the District of Columbia is pending.
