Volunteer Health Researcher

Alan Levine volunteers as a health researcher with the Health Research Group. Before Alan retired in January 2008, he worked for the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) for 27 years.  He coordinated over 100 national studies of HHS programs on topics including patient safety, state medical boards, hospital accreditation and hospital reporting to the National Practitioner Data Bank. In addition to his volunteer work at Public Citizen, Alan volunteers with Consumers Advancing Patient Safety and Consumers Union Safe Patient Project. Alan’s business cards say it best – he is a professional noodge!
